Good wishes for the laying of the foundation stone

After ATN moved into its new company domicile at its current location in Oppach in 2008, one would have said today that a startup had outgrown its infancy and taken wing. At that time, owner and managing director Torsten Hölzel said "I'll never build again" when he saw the huge dimensions in relation to the old location! The sight was too immense.

Today, 13 years later, having grown by 5 international subsidiaries and 450 employees, he is doing it again - Torsten Hölzel is building! And in the meantime already for the third time at the location in Oppach. On July 9, 2021, the foundation stone was laid for the new multi-part production and office complex. On the occasion of this event, a time capsule with the current daily newspaper, coins, a group photo of all employees and a list of names with the wishes "good luck", "success", "satisfaction" and "health" for future generations was left under the construction site. With the construction, the spatial capacities are almost doubled and ATN sets the course towards the future.

The celebration was attended by employees, guests of honor and representatives of the construction companies involved. Despite bad weather forecasts, it remained dry and so the festive beer and barbecue specialties could also be enjoyed outdoors. In addition to Saxony's Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer, Prof. Dr. Georg Milbradt, former Prime Minister of Saxony, was also a guest. It was he who, together with Torsten Hölzel, laid the first foundation stone in 2007, thus establishing a piece of the Upper Lusatian success story. So today in this circle was also the opportunity to review 14 years of company development at the Oppach site and to see what can become of "I will never build again!
