ATK DDS application tower
The ATN DDS (diagonal up swinging) application tower is used for material application on corresponding workpieces, mainly for mounting car windows and roofs.
The main components of the tower are an ATN PE applicator fitted as an external axis, one or more dosing units, and a nozzle cleaning unit. The work position of the tower for material application is a 30° upwards diagonal.
A robot with a gripper moves the workpiece to the application nozzles, which rotate to ensure flawless, optimum application of profiled material beads. The robot can then mount the workpiece.
After application, a pneumatic cylinder swivels the tower to the horizontal cleaning position so that excess material can be removed from the nozzles by a pneumatic or fleece nozzle cleaning unit.
An ATN barrel pump feeds the material through a dosing unit to the applicator and application nozzles.
