ATK DB application tower
The ATN DB nozzle bar application tower is used for applying multiple material beads to workpieces with large surfaces, such as roof reinforcement and insulation board (DVD).
A robot with a gripper handles the workpieces, passing it under the nozzle bar, which is fitted with up to 10 application nozzles. The nozzles are vertically positioned (0°) and apply the material in lines of round beads, forming a comb shape. There is also a traversing application nozzle on the front of the nozzle bar which applies a bead around the entire edge of the workpiece. This tidy finish acts as a seal.
An ATN barrel pump supplies the material, which the dosing units feed to the application nozzles.
Drips are collected in a sump under the nozzle bar so that the operator can dispose of them easily.
