The ATN DB nozzle bar application tower is used for applying multiple material beads to workpieces with large surfaces, such as roof reinforcement and insulation board (DVD). A robot with a gripper handles the workpieces, passing it under the nozzle bar, which is fitted with up to 10 application nozzles. The nozzles are vertically positioned (0°) and apply the material in lines of round beads, forming a comb shape. There is also a traversing application nozzle on the front of the nozzle bar which applies a bead around the entire edge of the workpiece. This tidy finish acts as a seal. An ATN barrel pump supplies the material, which the dosing units feed to the application nozzles. Drips are collected in a sump under the nozzle bar so that the operator can dispose of them easily.
