ATN material hoses are used for feeding low- to high-viscosity materials from our barrel pumps or a recirculation system to the dosing system and applicator. This ensures that assemblies which come in contact with the material are connected. Our material hoses provide much more flexibility than rigid pipes.
They are long-lasting, with universal chemical resistance. And because they are such high quality, they optimize your production level while also being low-maintenance. Our material hoses are available in unheated and heated versions to suit different materials.
Additional heating of the material hose optimizes the flow characteristics of the material for delivery. A heating wire with a resistance temperature detector is fitted directly to the material hose to measure the temperature.
The heating output is determined by the resistor of the fitted heating. The hoses are appropriately insulated with felt fabric.
ATN material hoses are available in standard sizes but can be made in custom lengths to suit your requirements. Our flexible material hoses have one technical constraint in that the impact of certain materials on hose breathing may dictate their maximum length. Our engineers can establish this based on your specification. Requirements for longer lines can be met with a combination of pipes and hoses. Generally speaking, material hoses are connected to adjacent assemblies with union nuts.
