We already introduced Dirk Zimmer and his Engineering Consulting Team to you. But what exactly makes his daily work and the department within ATN so special? Well, for this it’s worth taking a look at the projects that Dirk and his team have completed over the past five years:

Undoubtedly our main business area is the automotive sector and the close cooperation with OEM’s worldwide. Most of the projects involve automated systems for windshield gluing, roof installation or filling cavities with foam. Our Engineering Consulting plans completely new plants, but also investigates process optimization for existing plants, possible cycle time reductions and the integration of new (and much larger) types for existing plants with extremely limited space. However, the Engineering Consulting Team also receives exciting inquiries in the General Industry sector, e.g. in aviation, the construction industry and even in musical instrument manufacturing. 

Not every single investigation is subsequently implemented by the customer, which is not necessarily the aspiration. The work of our Engineering Consulting Team is rather showing the customers all possible scenarios and consequences of their plans and support them in their decision-making process before an implementation takes place. However, all these inquiries from different industry sectors sharpen the focus and expertise of Dirk and his team and provide space for new ideas. Especially these ideas enable ATN to master the challenges of the future.
