ATN’s PE applicator is designed for use as an external axis on an application tower. The applicator applies material directly to the workpiece through a mounted application nozzle.A material connection from a dosing device supplies the material to the applicator and onwards to the nozzle. The application nozzle dispenses the material. A drive motor enables the application nozzle to rotate 360° around its own axis. This avoids having to turn the workpiece during material application and ensures that material can be applied in any direction. The workpiece is passed under the application nozzle, applying a light pressure on the nozzle. This ensures that the application nozzle is always in contact with the workpiece and the material is applied correctly. The counter pressure can be adjusted through the external axis’ load balancer.
